Cordelia Hiers Brady

Cordelia Hiers Brady joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) in August 2018 as an administrative associate. Hiers transitioned from the Executive Team to a scientific program associate in 2019 and currently serves as a scientific program officer. In this role, Hiers Brady supports the Scientific Program Department in conceptualizing and developing new scientific strategies, potential partnerships, timelines, budgets and other objectives that support pioneering research. She monitors and manages projects within the Next Generation Crops and Sustainable Water Management Challenge Areas to ensure timely achievement of project deliverables. Hiers Brady also prepares summary documents and memoranda for both internal and external review.

Prior to joining FFAR, Hiers Brady worked at Tappan, Rastegar, Mendes LLP, where she supported the three Partners as a Paralegal. In this role, she supported the probate, guardianship, conservatorship and litigations practices. Hiers Brady specialized in preparing Statements of Account for all Estate matters and Conservatorships, ensured accurate completion of probate files, drafted petitions, monitored account ledgers and calendar deadlines.

Hiers Brady earned a master’s degree in agricultural business & economics from Murray State University and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science.

Outside of the office, Hiers Brady enjoys exploring new and local restaurants and volunteering for the Marine Corps League Toys for Tots.
