Jake Cohen
Jake Cohen joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a soil health intern in July 2021. In this role, Cohen assists the scientific program department with the Soil Health Challenge Area programs and initiatives.
Cohen’s early love for exploring the outdoors and nature fueled his passion for environmental conservation. Prior to joining FFAR, Cohen worked for the Youth Conservation Program in Grand Teton National Park, where he studied ecology and manual labor to help conserve the park’s ecosystem.
Cohen is seeking a bachelor’s degree at Sewanee University in Environment and Sustainability. He is a member of the lacrosse team, Impact Investment Committee, Changing Campus Climates (Sexual Assault Prevention) Program and a resident of the Greenhouse, a student group devoted to promoting ecological awareness. In his spare time, he likes to cook, read and hike.
