Gillian Woodward joined FFAR in May 2022 as the Events & Planning Officer. Gillian oversees and manages the conceptualization, planning and execution of all external and internal FFAR events.
Gillian has over 20 years of event planning experience in both non-profit and for-profit sectors and has worked for agricultural associations including NASDA, US Wheat Associates and earlier in her career, the International Food Policy Research Institute. As an independent planner and member of the District Consortium Inc., Gillian worked with the NAACP Image Awards, NAACP Annual Convention and the Washington, DC Hall of Fame Society. She has also worked as a catering manager for the Wyndham & Westin hotel chains and event manager at the Science Museum of Virginia.
Gillian holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a public relations concentration from Norfolk State University and a certificate of event management from George Washington University.
