Lauren Ng

Lauren Ng joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a scientific program assistant in November 2020. In this role, she supports the Urban Food Systems and the Health-Agriculture Nexus Challenge Areas.

Prior to joining FFAR, Ng designed and implemented sustainability programs at the University of California, San Francisco.  In this role, she worked to reduce campus energy use, minimize material waste and enhance communications and outreach efforts. In addition, Ng previously worked in community gardens, experiences that amplified her passion for food and agriculture.  At FFAR, she supports bold research that mitigates climate change, improves community health and contributes to a more equitable and sustainable food system.

Ng earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the Soka University of America and studied the Chinese language at Nanjing University. In her spare time, Ng enjoys traveling, trying new recipes and playing with her cats.
